Dr Nick Herbert, the (now retired) Glos. Cty. Archivist who researched our town’s story for the ‘Victoria County History’ in the 1980s, now returns to Lechlade to mark the town’s 800th anniversary celebrations of our Market Charter, granted (on 1st May, 1210) by King John.

We would like to present a traditional country fete at The Trout Inn on Saturday May 8th 2010. You are invited to take part if you have a customer participating game or competitive attraction. There are no fees for entering your fund raising activity and you keep all you earn. We hope to supply a roundabout or juvenile ride and a bouncy castle for the event.
Musical interludes will occur during the day.
